What type of sessions are available to me?

Your healing journey is unique, and I tailor each session to match your specific needs. During our work together, I may integrate various therapeutic approaches within a single session to best support your growth and healing. Currently, I offer secure online sessions, allowing you to engage in therapy from the comfort and privacy of your chosen space. This virtual format provides both convenience and effectiveness, while maintaining the deep connection essential for therapeutic work.

How long are typical sessions?

Standard sessions are 50 minutes, which allows us to dive deep into your concerns while maintaining consistent progress. For certain therapeutic approaches or specific needs, we may determine that longer sessions would be more beneficial. I'm happy to discuss adjusting session length to best serve your healing journey.

What are your fees and insurance options?

Investment in your healing:

  • Individual sessions: $185 per hour

  • Sliding scale rate: $150 per hour for those needing financial assistance

Insurance Coverage:
I'm currently in-network with:

  • Aetna

  • United Healthcare

  • Optum

  • Oscar

For out-of-network benefits, I can provide you with a detailed superbill to submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement. I recommend checking with your insurance provider before starting therapy to understand your out-of-network benefits and reimbursement process.

How can I pay for my sessions?

I offer convenient payment options to make your therapy experience as smooth as possible:

  • Credit card payments through Square (please note: a 3.5% processing fee applies)

  • Direct bank transfer through Zelle (no additional fees)

Many clients prefer using Zelle through their bank's mobile app to avoid processing fees. If you're new to Zelle, you can learn more at zellepay.com. I'm happy to help you set up whichever payment method works best for you.

What does the therapy journey typically look like?

Your healing journey is unique and personal, and I honor that by creating a flexible treatment approach tailored to you. While many clients find weekly sessions most beneficial initially, we'll work together to determine a rhythm that fits your goals, schedule, and pace of growth. You're always in the driver's seat of your healing journey - you can adjust our meeting frequency, take breaks, or conclude therapy when you feel ready. We'll regularly check in on your progress to ensure you're getting what you need from our work together.

What can I expect from our work together?

Starting therapy is a courageous step, and it's natural to feel nervous. Our first session together is about creating comfort and clarity. We'll explore what brings you to therapy, discuss your hopes and goals, and map out possible paths forward. You'll never be pressured to discuss anything you're not ready to share.

What makes my approach unique is its focus on your nervous system's natural healing capacity. Rather than requiring you to repeatedly recount difficult experiences, we'll work together to help your system find balance and resilience. This approach often brings relief while honoring your comfort level and pace.

Each session after our initial meeting is tailored specifically to your needs, using the therapeutic approaches that resonate most with your healing process.

How do you create a safe space for sharing difficult experiences?

Let me be clear - there is absolutely no judgment in our therapeutic space. Having worked with countless individuals on their healing journeys, I deeply understand that seeking support takes tremendous courage. Every thought, feeling, or experience you share is met with compassion and understanding.

The human experience is beautifully complex, and we all face challenges that can feel overwhelming or difficult to discuss. Your experiences, no matter what they are, deserve to be heard and held with care. I'm here as your ally and guide, offering a safe space where you can be fully yourself without fear of judgment.

Remember: Seeking help isn't a sign of weakness - it's a sign of wisdom and strength. You're taking a powerful step toward your own healing, and I'm honored to support you on this journey.

How do you protect my privacy?

Your privacy and trust are paramount to our therapeutic relationship. Everything we discuss remains strictly confidential - I will not share any information about our sessions without your explicit written permission.

There are limited exceptions to confidentiality that I'm legally required to uphold for your safety and well-being:

  • If there is a serious risk of harm to yourself or others

  • In cases of suspected child or elder abuse

  • When required by law to ensure your safety or the safety of others

These exceptions exist solely to ensure that you and others receive appropriate care when needed. I'm always happy to discuss any concerns you have about confidentiality.

What are your available session times?

Understanding that many clients have work and family commitments during traditional business hours, I offer limited evening appointments. While my primary hours are during weekdays, I occasionally have weekend availability for clients who need flexibility with scheduling. These special arrangements are made on a case-by-case basis, depending on current scheduling capacity. I encourage you to discuss your scheduling needs during our initial consultation so we can find a time that works best for you.

What is your cancellation policy?

To maintain a consistent and reliable schedule for all clients, I maintain the following policies:

  • 24+ hours notice: No charge for cancellation

  • Less than 24 hours notice: Full session fee applies (except for genuine emergencies)

  • Late arrivals: Sessions delayed by more than 15 minutes will need to be rescheduled and will incur the full session fee

I understand that life can be unpredictable, but these policies help ensure that I can provide reliable service to all my clients. I appreciate your understanding and cooperation in maintaining these professional boundaries.

Do you prescribe medication?

While I provide powerful therapeutic approaches for healing and growth, I do not prescribe medication as this falls outside my scope of practice. However, I believe in comprehensive care - if we determine that medication might be beneficial as part of your treatment plan, I can refer you to trusted psychiatric professionals who specialize in medication management. For clients already taking medication, I'm happy to collaborate with your prescribing physician to ensure your care is well-coordinated and optimally supportive of your goals.

How do you support clients in crisis?

First and foremost, your life matters, and help is always available. If you're experiencing thoughts of suicide, please know that you're not alone and that support is available 24/7:

National Suicide Prevention Lifeline:

  • Call: 800-273-TALK (8255)

  • Text: TALK to 741741

For immediate emergency assistance:

  • Call 911 (or your local emergency number if outside the US)

  • Go to your nearest emergency room

It's completely normal to feel hesitant about discussing suicidal thoughts. Many people experience these thoughts during times of intense distress, and they often carry feelings of fear or shame about discussing them. Please know that in our therapeutic space, you can speak openly about these experiences without judgment. Together, we can develop a supportive safety plan and work through these difficult feelings to help you find stability and hope.

How can we work together most effectively?

Your commitment to personal growth is the foundation of successful therapy. Here's how you can maximize the benefit of our work together:

  • Come as you are - authenticity leads to deeper healing

  • Share openly about what you're experiencing

  • Voice any concerns or questions about the therapeutic process

  • Be honest about what is and isn't working for you

  • Engage actively in the healing practices we explore together

Remember, this is a collaborative journey. Your feedback helps me tailor our approach to best serve your needs and goals. I'm here to support you every step of the way, and together we can create a therapeutic experience that truly serves your healing journey.
